Wife of Oil Exec Injured

This past Friday, the wife of an oil executive in Houston, Texas was injured by a bomb placed in a fake box of chocolates sent to the couple’s home. The box of chocolates had a note on the outside that said, “thank you”. The woman, who is in her 60s according to authorities, opened the box which was packed with explosives, nails, and thumb tacks. Her face was shredded upon explosion. Yet another example of one of those peace loving, tree hugging lefties no doubt.

Officials say it is unclear yet if the executives house was targeted because of his profession, but let’s be real people. How many upscale homes in the neighborhood are receiving explosive packed boxes of chocolates?

This is beyond deplorable. An innocent woman, targeted for no other reason than her husband works for a company who may or not have anything at all to do with an oil spill in the gulf.

My question is this, when this person dropped this box off, whether it be at the house, or the post office, I wonder, did this criminal drive there? When its cold outside, does this person turn on the heat in their home? Those who would carry out a terrorist act against an executive of an oil company, because of an environmental ACCIDENT, all the while fully taking advantage of every benefit of this executive’s work is the worst of the worst in this country. This person deserves the harshest penalty the law allows. Domestic terrorism can not be taken lightly, and must be punished as a traitor, and an attempted murderer.

Keep this executive, and his innocent wife in your prayers.

Atm tax?

Sounds like something of fiction doesn’t it? This is a very real proposal being floated by Rep. Chaka Fattah (D-Pa.). In Fattah’s legislation, the fed would tax a penny for EVERY DOLLAR that you withdraw from an ATM. Let me give you a minute to let that sink in………….

Got it?

Yes you heard right. These, the same people who are trying to tax the internet too.

George Harrison didn’t know how right he would turn out to be when he wrote that Beatles classic.

So, the same people who are complaining about banks failing, are now discouraging putting your money into a bank! Unemployment is nearly 10%, the housing market is in shambles, construction has yet to return to pre recession levels, and all Congress can think to do is find another way to tax you!

Weekly shows begin July 8th

We are back from vacation and excited to announce that we will be changing to weekly shows starting next week. It’s a move we’ve wanted to make for a long time and we’ve finally been able to work it out. The shows will be slightly shorter, hopefully in the 30 to 35 minute range instead of the current 50 to 55 minute format. This will give us the opportunity to talk about more up-to-date topics and keep the show fresh. We also hope that it will make it easier on our listeners. Hopefully, you should be able to find time to listen to the shorter shows.

With shorter, more frequent shows, we’ll also be able to keep on the most important topics of the week. This means every show will be the best show we can make.

As we all go about our Sunday afternoon routines let us NEVER forget, June 6th 1944. The battle on the beaches of Normandy once and for all turned the tide of WWII in the favor of the allied forces. Some of us may have known one of these brave soldiers who stormed the beach 66 years ago today, but we will never be able to comprehend the courage in spite of the fear of the unknown that faced these men that day. Without these heroes, without this battle, without their selfless sacrifice, who knows how the battle against godless tyranny would have ended. It seems these days the words “tyrant” and “socialist” are thrown around as political talking points. We must never forget, these men faced true evil, tyranny on a level this nation has never known before or since. We are forever indebted to the patriots of Normandy. Today, honor them, thank God for them, and if you are ever fortunate enough to come face to face with a veteran of this war, simply say, “Thank you”.

Let us take a trip back, to 2005 when George W. Bush was president and his Senate wished to use the nuclear option to pass a bill. Take a look here at the reaction of Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Max Baucus and others. In 2005 using reconciliation (a budgetary maneuver that passes bills uses a simple 51 vote majority, not the standard filibuster proof 60 votes) was “a power grab”, “arrogant”, the “end of democracy”. What do you have to say Democrats now that your president and your majority leader wish to use this maneuver to pass something as monumental as health care reform? To quote K.O, have you no shame? Suddenly Concerned

President Obama is a little late to the game. Suddenly, debt is bad. He recently said, “”It is important though to recognize if we keep on adding to the debt, even in the midst of this recovery, that at some point, people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy in a way that could actually lead to a double-dip recession.” The article says:

With the U.S. unemployment rate at 10.2 percent, Obama told Fox News his administration faces a delicate balance of trying to boost the economy and spur job creation while putting the economy on a path toward long-term deficit reduction.

I’m sorry but after spending almost 1 trillion dollars on the failed stimulus package, you can’t complain about debt. We’re not that stupid Mr. President. We knew your stimulus wouldn’t work and we know that you will not be able to reduce our debt. Are you intentionally trying to destroy our country? I think you are and that’s why I hope you fail.

Iran is ready to Nuke (Updated 9/18)

According to the AP, they have seen documents from the International Atomic Energy Agency which indicate Iran has every capability to make a nuclear weapon now. This is a huge development in the middle-east and quite frankly, scares me. Iranian leaders have evil ambitions. This will not make our world more stable, that’s for sure. I won’t be surprised if we hear news from Israel soon with some sort of reaction. Remember, the president of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has indicated that Israel should be wiped off the map and hasn’t had a very good attitude towards the U.S. Meanwhile, the Obama administration is dropping the missile shield in Europe. I’m curious to see how the White House will react to this. What is your reaction?

Update: Ahmedinejad’s story has not changed. He said just this week that Israel “will not last long.” There is a storm brewing.

(Updated) Question – ACORN and the Media

Given the recent revelations involving ACORN, the U.S. Census Bureau has cut them out of the 2010 census that they were supposed to take part in, and the Senate voted yesterday 83-7 to cut all federal funding to ACORN, and the House is next. The Senate doesn’t vote 83-7 on ANYTHING! This is BIG!!! Yet, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, NBC, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, etc have totally ignored the story, leaving to Fox News and Glenn Beck to cover the story.

Another new thing we’re bringing to the site is a quickie question. Instead of voicing our opinions we want to ask a question and give you the chance to voice your opinion. Now of course this will only work if you leave your response. We want to give you a voice. We want to hear what our listeners and readers have to say. Hey, good answers might make it onto our next show too. We’ll join the conversation, but we want you to get it started. So here is our very first quickie question.

Last night the President spoke about health care. During his speech, South Carolina Rep Joe Wilson shouted out “You Lie!” You can watch the video here in case you missed it. Regardless of if you believe the president was telling a lie or not, do you think it is ok for our representatives to “heckle” the president while he is giving a speech? Explain your thoughts now.

Healthcare Push

Health care is back and it’s the topic of today’s daily quickie. Let’s understand one thing, Obama, Pelosi and Reid have one agenda, socialized medicine for the United States of America. They understand that they may not be able to accomplish it today. But they are going to lay the groundwork for a public option which will be put in position to force private insurance out of business. Their long-term goal is a single payer system and they don’t care about what you think because they are smarter than you and they know better than you. That is exactly why they are not allowing Republicans to join in the planning. They are not interested in “reaching across the table” or bi-partisanship or anything else Obama bragged about while he was campaigning. The election is over and as Obama stated in February, he won. They don’t care that there is a 52% disapproval rating for health reform. They don’t care about the people who stood up at the town hall meetings saying NO to government takeover of our health care system. They feel the have the votes and they will shove this down our throats. In their own words:

Conservatives Care

As conservatives, we are often accused of being selfish and greedy because we don’t want the government taking our money and giving it to someone else. Typically this “someone else” is thought to be the poor. The fact is, conservatives give more money to charity than any other group. Most people are completely unaware of the amount of money we give because we don’t hold press conferences and award ceremonies to pat ourselves on the back and announce to the world how great we are. We believe giving is a personal and humble expression of our love for our fellow man. But if I’m going to give part of my salary, I want to know that it’s being used for greatness, not to cause dependency on a government system. We just realize that when our money is washed through the hands of government, much of it “disappears” before making it to it’s final destination. We prefer to give through our churches and charities that we can hold responsible for spending our money on needs, not on lining the pockets of bureaucrats. We want to know our money is being used properly and to have the freedom to give our money elsewhere went we learn someone is not being responsible with what we give.

Quickie – Midnight Resignation

Just to keep you in the loop, in case you haven’t seen it already. Van Jones resigned last night just after midnight. You know, right in time to NOT make the Sunday papers. He claims that “They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.” He’s referring to people like us. If they were lies, Mr Jones, why did you need to resign?

President Obama better not think for a second that suddenly there’s no need to answer the question, “Why was there a communist employed by your administration as a special advisor?” We demand answers.

Quickie on Van Jones

To kick off our new feature called “Quickies”, I bring you Van Jones the Green Jobs Czar. We talked about him during episode 9. Well Glenn Beck has been asking some hard questions about this man. Van Jones is a communist. He’s never backed down from those statements. Now as people have begun digging deeper into his past, we’ve also learned that he is a “9-11 Truther”. If you don’t know what that is, Glenn explains in this video.

Van Jones claims he signed a petition without really reading it.
